What a buyer wants in a sample pack
Updated 23 October 2026
A buyer asked for samples. Good. Here's how to make the pack do its job.
Send it quickly, and send what they asked for
Interest cools fast. Send within a few days, and send the drinks they asked about, not your whole range.
What goes in the box
- The drink, well packed and labelled as it will be on shelf.
- One page: what it is, strength, sizes, bottles per case, cases per pallet, your export price and terms, and your contact details.
- A note saying who it's for and what they asked for, so it doesn't get lost in a pile of boxes.
Check the shipping first
Not every courier takes alcohol, and sending across borders can mean duty and paperwork. Agree with the buyer who pays, and use a courier that ships drinks.
Follow up once
About a week after it lands, ask what they thought. Once. If it's a no for now, thank them and keep the door open.
