Franziskaner is a wheat beer brand from Munich, Germany.
Franziskaner's story starts in 1363, when a brewery near the Franciscan monastery in central Munich was first recorded, and the friar on the label nods to those neighbours. It joined forces with Spaten under the Sedlmayr family in 1922 and is now part of AB InBev. Today it is one of the best-known Bavarian wheat beer brands around the world.
