Gouden Carolus is a Belgian ale brand from Mechelen, Belgium.
Brewed by Het Anker in Mechelen, one of Belgium's oldest breweries, on a site where beer has been made since the fifteenth century. The name nods to the golden coins of Emperor Charles V, who grew up in the city.
