Hoegaarden is a wheat beer and speciality brand from Hoegaarden, Belgium.
Monks in the Flemish village of Hoegaarden were brewing spiced wheat beer as far back as the 1400s, and the style nearly died out in the 1950s. Milkman Pierre Celis revived it in 1966 with orange peel and coriander, and it is now part of AB InBev. It is still brewed in Hoegaarden and served in its chunky hexagonal glass.
