The story
Mountain Mead is a mead brand from Amlwch, Wales, founded in 2016.
Mountain Mead is a small Welsh meadery in the foothills of Snowdonia. It began in a friend's shed in the winter of 2016, when Mike Cooke and Jacob Milner decided their home-made mead was good enough to go professional. Mike now runs it on his own. Every batch is made by hand from quality honey, then filtered, bottled and labelled on site. The range runs from sweet traditional meads to spiced, fruit and barrel-aged ones, with labels in Welsh and English and several meads named after Welsh birds.
