The story
Original Deeds is a rum brand from Pontefract, the United Kingdom.
The story goes that in the 1800s someone in England started dropping Pontefract cakes, the town's famous liquorice sweets, into the local Caribbean rum. The result was the original black rum blend. Deeds brings it back. Caribbean rum is blended in England with natural caramel, vanilla and a hint of liquorice, giving a jet-black drink that's smoother than it looks. Float it on ginger beer with lime, or pour it over cherry cola and turn the music up.
