Orval is a Belgian ale brand from Villers-devant-Orval, Belgium, founded in 1931.
The brewery at Orval Abbey in the Gaume was set up in 1931 to pay for rebuilding the abbey. It makes one beer for sale, dry-hopped and refermented with a wild yeast, so it keeps changing in the bottle. Royalties go to social causes and the upkeep of the abbey.
