Penny Blue is a rum brand from Bambous, Mauritius.
Penny Blue is made at the Medine distillery on the west coast of Mauritius, which has been producing rum on its own sugar estate since 1926. Pressing, distilling and ageing all happen on the estate, and each bottle is hand-dipped in wax there. The rums are released without added sugar, giving a drier style that whisky drinkers tend to like.
