Pilsner Urquell is a lager brand from Plzeň, Czechia, founded in 1842.
Pilsner Urquell was first brewed in Pilsen in 1842 and is the world's first golden pilsner, the beer that gave the style its name. It is still brewed at the original brewery with Saaz hops, soft local water and Moravian malt, and since 2017 has been owned by Asahi.
