Sierra Nevada is a pale ale and pale ale & IPA brand from Chico, the United States.
Ken Grossman started Sierra Nevada in Chico, California in 1980, when the US had only a few dozen breweries left. Its Cascade-hopped Pale Ale became a template for American craft beer and is still the flagship. The company is still family owned and now also brews at Mills River in North Carolina.
